Nessa Carey’s The Epigenetics Revolution is covered in today’s Daily Mail, with the paper explaining how the discovery that Audrey Hepburn suffered malnutrition as a child in the Nazi-occupied Netherlands has helped scientists understand the links between ‘genetic disruption’ and poor health.
‘Now Dr Carey, a British biology expert and former senior lecturer at Imperial College, London, has written a book in which she suggests Hepburnās poor health was the result of genetic changes caused by her terrible childhood diet,’ the paper reports.
‘Such changes are being revealed by the new science of epigenetics.’
