The Shrink and the SageThe Guardian reviewed The Shrink and the Sage: A Guide to Living by Julian Baggini & Antonia Macaro last week.

Steven Poole praises the book for asserting that ‘…you can be a “happy pessimist”, or so advises “the shrink” (Macaro, a psychotherapist) in this very elegant, high-class self-help book that aims to be, as “the philosopher” (Baggini) explains, a guide to “thinking about how we should live”‘.
