Alex Grant

Alex Grant is a writer specialising in politics and modern British history. He has worked as a journalist in the United States and Britain, and has written for the Guardian, and The Times. Alex was a Labour councillor in the London Borough of Greenwich from 1998 to 2014, and worked in parliament in 2008-12. He now lives in Northamptonshire with his partner and daughter.

His first book, Sex, Spies and Scandal: The John Vassall Affair, is an acclaimed biography of a 1960s spy that sheds new light on an important part of Britain's espionage, political and LGBT history.
