David Hoffman, author of the Pulitzer-prize winning The Dead Hand (published by Icon on 3rd Feb), will be doing a series of lectures and discussions around the subject of his book – covering Reagan, Gorbachev and the Cold War arms race, as well as the role of the UK government and Maggie Thatcher during the 1980s.

Make Reasoning Skills Compulsory in Schools

Icon are proud to support this campaign to help British schoolchildren increase their academic and life potential by introducing practice in reasoning at an early age. The campaign, run by Philosophers Football, is attempting to change government policy and get Philosophy lessons into primary school classrooms.
