Make Reasoning Skills Compulsory in Schools

Icon are proud to support this campaign to help British schoolchildren increase their academic and life potential by introducing practice in reasoning at an early age. The campaign, run by Philosophers Football, is attempting to change government policy and get Philosophy lessons into primary school classrooms. A new Art Theory and Philosophy course at St. Martins

Christopher Kul-want, the author of titles in Icon’s Introducing series including Aesthetics and Kant, is launching a new postgraduate course at Central St. Martins in London. Sir Malcolm Rifkind praises The Dead Hand

Sir Malcolm Rifkind MP has given David E. Hoffman’s The Dead Hand, published in early February, a ringing endorsement: ‘I found The Dead Hand extremely stimulating. As a Foreign Office Minister I was involved in Gorbachev’s meeting with Margaret Thatcher; and as Defence Secretary from 1992-95 I was very much associated with the safe removal of post-Soviet states’ nuclear weapons.
